An Extended Sleepover

Oh lordy.

This weekend I am embarking on an adventure, right here in my wonderful little town. The premise of this adventure is that the family I nanny for, the oldest girl just turned 10 (ah, they're growing up!), and her parents surprised her with a no-brothers four-day trip to the Windy City (aka Chicago). And since you very obviously cannot leave an eighteen month baby and four year old alone, I am going to be staying with them for the next five days and four nights. Straight. It's gonna be one for the record books, so wish me luck evereyone!
Anyway, I must be getting off to class (ugh, Intro to Sociology) but I just wanted to put that out there.

(P.S. It's not gonna be that bad, I'm just a teensey bit worried about schedules and getting them to bed, especially the four year old. He REALLY doesn't like going to sleep.)

WHAM BAM, HOT DAMN WHO THE HELL ARE WE? WE'RE THE LOVELY SISTERS OF DPHIE! Wow my past week has been crazy. I Should Be A Model

This last Thursday I got back from from visiting my brother, sister-in-law, and my niece (she's six months old and absolutely adorable) with my mom. We did a lot of super cool stuff over the course of three days there and two days spent traveling there. Besides this we also visited the Midtown Global Market, had Nepalese food, and my brother and I went on a ten-mile-abouts bike ride. It was super great to be able to go out and visit them. They live in another state, so we don't get to see them a lot, and this is also only the second time that I've gotten to see my niece, so going out to see them was a nice chance to visit. My ma and I also made a sight-seeing trip out of the ride to them (It's almost 11 hours, so breaks are nice) and split it up into two days. We got to see this abandoned town in the UP, Fayette, which is super cool and I recommend visiting it if you ever get the chance. Roots and Leaves

In the new member ed classes we do in my sorority we do this activity called roots and leaves, where we draw a tree (it doesn't have to be anything special) and the leaves represent qualities about yourself that are obvious or easily visible; whereas the roots are things about you that not everyone knows. Now, the one that I did with the sorority, I didn't put everything down that I really thought belonged on there, so I made my own.
