Greatest Hits
There are little things from each of my friends that I think just define them as a person to me, and kind of define our friendship (in a good way). These are some of my favorite snapshots of some of my friends:
Audrie: The year my dad died I was in seventh grade and I really just retreated into myself. I didn't have a lot of friends and didn't want to talk to anyone. She was a kinda-friend at the time. Someone that I knew, but not very well. I was next to her in the linch line once, and this guy said something about a necklace I was wearing. It was a necklace that said ANGEL on one side and GAVIN on the other. Gavin was my dad's name, and my aunt had gotten the necklace for me, and this guy was being ride about it. And Audrie stepped in front of me, tucked the necklace under my collar so you couldn't see it, and took it up with the guy, basically saving me from a confrontation that I hod no idea how to deal with. And it was awesome. To this day I'm glad she did that for me, even though it was suck a little thing at the time.
Destinee: My best friend. Again, when my dad died, she was there for me. I called her the day it happened and she came over right away and stayed two nights at my house I think. It was during the school week and her mom let her stay, which was so amazing. Destinee was the extra support that I needed besides my family, because no one really gets you like a best friend does.
When we OBSESSED with stuff like Eragon and Avatar: The Last Airbender we would do stuff like pretend swordfight with sticks and act like we could bend elements on the trampoline in her backyard, stupid stuff like that.
She's the only on who knew when I was worried about my mom dating someone else, because it was still too soon for me to handle that.
Drinking Faygo sodas from the glass bottles with a Little Debbie snack at the park all summer one year.
And so many more things that just make me so glad that I met Destinee.
Kai and Mandy. I can't solidify it down into moments because every second I had with them was the best. There are seconds behind seconds that define who we are, and although I know that we not be eachother's end, aI'm so glad that I got to be a part of their story.
