Hot Damn
WHAM BAM, HOT DAMN
WHO THE HELL ARE WE?
WE'RE THE LOVELY SISTERS
OF DPHIE!
Wow my past week has been crazy.
I really should be writing my essay right now, but I can't actually be entirely bothered about it (the subject is just horrible and it's pretty terrible to write, but I'm still going to get it done tonight, it's pretty much due. But whatever). Homework is piling up and I'm kind of struggling but I know that I almost work better under pressure. It makes me more focused, and I'm more that willing to pull a couple of sleepless nights in order to get work done.
Anyway, the past two days have been very, very Greek. Friday was Song and Skit, where all of the Greek orgs on campus get together and perform a 10 minute (at most) skit where you can sing and dance. You're meant to be funny and it's okay to make fun of yourself or other orgs or something. We did a spoof on some Miley Cyrus songs and it was pretty funny (we got to do the Simba lift up like they do in The Lion King on some unicorn stuffed animals which was great).
And guess who won?
We did!
The song up there is the beginning of our Deepher chant that we do and it's flippin' great to chant with a huge bunch of girls.
Then on Saturday was Greek Day, where all of the Greek orgs get together to compete in a bunch of games with one another. You compete and cheer and yell cheer for your org and the other that you want to win all day. It was sunny and warm out the whole day (pretty windy for some of it) and that was so slipping great. I love being outside on sunny days like that.
This was also super great, but between the two days I've managed to loose my voice. Normally I'd be fine with it but today (Sunday) we're holding elections within the Deephers today and I'm trying for three positions, which means three speeches. My voice is going to suck for all of them and by the end of the day. Oh well though, it was worth it I think :)
Well, I'd better be getting back to my essay. That's all for now folks!

I love that chant! But I only heard it once and since DPhiE only founded at my school relatively recently so we don't know many chants. Care to help a sister out?
ReplyDeletein the DPHIE connection on facebook we have compiled a list of chants!
